Article: Beasts Odd Man Out as SGL Playoffs Begin

And then, there were 8. This past week saw what we see every year. A couple of teams floating around on the bubble that must win to get in. This year we had 2 spots remaining for 3 teams, and when the music stopped, the Beasts found themselves without a chair and back in the Round Risen for the second year in a row. The Snappin' Peas defiantly snapped the Beasts for the second time this season, 123.2 to 68.7.

The Beasts-one of the original 6- is back in the Round Risen for the 4th time in franchise history- '14, '15, '19, '20. How did they get there? This was a team that started the first month 3-1. They then went on to lose 4 out of 5 games. When I look back at the Beasts season, 2 games stand out. In week 2, a loss to the Snappin' Peas 108.4- 107.88 was an absolute heartbreaker. Will Fuller (PED dude) goosed, and Dak Prescott(Pea) led a massive comeback against the Falcons, posting 39.8 in the process. The other game was last week's devasting loss 155.9-145.4 to the Hound Dogs. 58 points from the Bucs stack wasn't enough to overcome the finally healthy Hounds.                                                                                                                 The Beasts were plagued with bye-weeks this week. This left fans questioning why the Beasts hadn't prepared for losing their starting QB, WR, TE mega Bucs stack. When asked about this, Austin Boister- the owner of the Beasts, said, "We didn't plan on losing to the Hound Dogs."

(?)

There is a rumor out that the Beasts are considering a rebrand for next season...

When called on Monday to comment, the Beasts did not return the League Office call.
